On-the-Ground Academic Research
Backed by Data Science
Our academic research draws from and contributes to open-source communities in academia and tech. We seek to contribute to a substantive understanding of our issue areas and methodological innovations in data science.
Serving Our Community
HTI Labs has its roots in the Human Trafficking Initiative at Creighton University, where we continue our academic work. We learn, use and apply data science and social science to conduct basic academic research on social issues. We seek to bridge the gap between research, technology, and society by partnering with those developing tech skill sets in local girls. We host an international conference for human trafficking research to catalyze and support further rigorous research on these issues. The Human Trafficking Initiative at Creighton University thus continues to serve as a source of critical research and development for HTI Labs as well as the broader community.
